EcoPrint 2012 line up comprises visionaries and big brands
The EcoPrint 2012 line up has been announced and it includes 'leading visionaries in the field of sustainability', according to largeformatprintingnews.blogspot.co.uk.
The conference, which takes place in Berlin from 26 -27 September, promises seminars from senior executives at Aveda, JC Decaux, Coca-Cola, Nike and Toyota, among others, plus case studies from Ikea. It also features keynote speeches from 'two huge names in European sustainability': Professor Doctor Michael Braungart and Professor Hans Joachim Schellnhuber.
As such, EcoPrint director, Frazer Chesterman enthused that the content will set EcoPrint apart from any other print trade show, encouraging delegate interaction and engagement.
"It's designed to be immersive and engaging and to that end, we have collected leading thinkers, print-buyers and sustainability visionaries; people of action who are designed to inspire," he told outputmagazine.com.
Almost 50 events have been scheduled for the show, which aims to highlight environmental factors relating to the print industry and consider the future. No doubt appealing to those across the sector, be it large format printing or ink manufacture, EcoPrint 2012 will be organised around two key areas: 'think' relating to the events taking place on the main stage and 'talk', a round table debating area.
Mr Chesterman added: "Some of these speakers represent the very people who are increasingly raising the issue of sustainability with print businesses - can anyone afford not to hear what they've got to say?"
