Delegates respond enthusiastically to FESPA's Global Summit

January's FESPA Global Summit has been hailed 'a huge success' by organisers and delegates alike, wideformatonline.com reports.

The print body's fifth so-called 'thought leadership event' took place in London; giving digital wide format printing professionals and print service providers the chance to discuss issues, the future and opportunities that exist within the industry.

Delegates came from 21 different countries and reportedly left the event duly inspired with new ways to help their businesses grow and prosper. Subsequent feedback obtained by FESPA reveals that 92 per cent of delegates believed the Summit had provided valuable information for their business. Every single respondent said they would attend another FESPA event in the future

Seminars on sustainability, outdoor advertising, augmented reality and Near Field Communication were the most popular and indicates that print professionals are keen to find out about innovations and new technology.

The overwhelming response bodes well for June's FESPA 2013. To be held at the ExCel in London, this is the latest event devised by FESPA to 'connect and support its global community' via knowledge sharing, education and best practice.

FESPA's head of events and new media, Duncan MacOwen told largeformatreview.com: "The positive feedback we've received so far from this year's Global Summit has been fantastic and it is heartening to see that so many of the delegates found the content beneficial to their businesses.

"The sheer number of geographies represented also bodes well for FESPA 2013 in London. This just illustrates just how well connected and easy it is to travel to the destination - London."
