First 2 Print a Sunderland based printing firm has purchased the first Durst Omega 2 in the UK from Perfect Colours. With over 25 years industry experience the new purchase joins an already large portfolio of large format printers at First 2 Print and forms a part of their future strategy. The Durst Omega 2 uses industry leading UV-LED drying technology and reproduces Lambda Photographic Quality. On average it offers a 65% power reduction compared to conventional UV-LED drying printers. The omega 2 is capable of replicating fine art print quality of up to 1728 DPI at production speed, while allowing the user to swap inks during printing.
