Media Expo Delhi attracts thousands

The Media Expo function in Delhi has been labelled as a huge success.

The print function, organised by MEX exhibitions, is thought to have attracted more than 16,000 visitors in its first two days, with many exhibitors reporting high levels of enquiries and bookings. In particular, wide-format print seemed to be high on the agenda for attendees.

Most of India's top printing companies were on hand displaying their newest models. Amongst them were Macart Equipment, Strategic Printing Solutions, Shiva Texyarn and wide-format printing experts Sahil Graphics.

In an interview with printweek.in, MEX exhibitions director Gaurav Juneja appeared absolutely overwhelmed by the success of the show. He said: "The footfall we received today at the show is a proof that the show has been well received and embraced by the industry."

Juneja also spoke about the rising popularity of wide-format printing in the area, stating: "The wide format printing and signage market in Delhi NCR is huge. The print service providers off the region have shown keen interest in experimenting with technologies and new substrates to add value to their offerings."

Part of the show's success has been attributed to the fact it was moved to a Saturday-Monday slot, rather than a traditional weekend booking. According to themediaexpo.com, it was the 10th time that the show was hosted in Delhi and the 31st overall edition of the event.
