HP5000/5500
Keep your firmware updated to the latest revision .This will
improve life expectancy of the printheads and allow HP service
division to diagnose any problems quicker.
Clean and recover your printheads before replacing them especially
in warranty as this will generally solve any issues.
We have also recieved numerous calls regarding ghosting whilst
printing on the pop up media.This is caused by static in the
film as is not the fault of the designjet.
We have also tested various clone/third party inks for the
5000 and 5500 and have found problems with quality, printheads
and colour. As a result we will not warranty our printheads
if clone inks/third party inks are been used.
HP1000/800/500
The black ink these models is pigment based, so careful selection
of glossy or satin media is required.
We now stock 90m or 150m rolls for the 1000 series and a
plotwise adapter for the 500 and 800 models saving time and
money. |
