FESPA Digital 2012 kicks off

FESPA Digital 2012 has officially kicked off in Barcelona, Spain; attracting thousands of print professionals from around the world.

According to Graphicrepro.co.za, the fifth annual conference from the Federation of European Screen Printers (FESPA) has also attracted some 350 exhibitors; each of which aiming to share their experience with the industry experts attending.

The managing director of FESPA, Neil Felton, proclaimed: "We're delivering the richest and most relevant Digital visitor programme yet here in Barcelona, with a raft of new content that matches the specific needs and interests of the wide-format printer community, all free of charge.

"We hope visitors to FESPA Digital 2012 will take full advantage of this programme, using every opportunity that's here to complement what they see on exhibitor stands with expert knowledge, insight and a dash of inspiration to help grow their business."

Covering everything from the issues affecting large-format printing specialists to the opportunities for optimising workflow throughout the industry, the event will offer over 40 education sessions to its attendees. These are thought to also encompass the sustainability issues concerning the print world and the rise in digital signage.

The conference was seemingly designed in accordance with FESPA's wider objectives, which Felton confirmed on Myprintresource.com. He revealed: "FESPA's central mission is to use our collective expertise in wide format print to educate, share knowledge and highlight best practice."
