Epson divulges top summer print tips

Printer manufacturer Epson has excitedly let slip some top tips for getting the most out of wide-format printers this summer.

The printing giant releases its secrets just as photographers reach the halfway stage of National Photo Month, which began at the beginning of May.

"National Photo Month is a great time to remember what a true photo is all about - the printed image," said Richard Day, product manager, Epson America.

Top of the list, cited by businessrevieweurope.eu, is to use real canvas for that 'artistic look and feel'. Using the official manufacturers' canvases can bring professional-looking works of art to any consumer, Epson claims.

Second is to check the settings on the machine. Users should be careful to not to apply plain paper settings to photo paper (or visa versa), for example. Trying to find the right combination of quality and speed is also a particular art. Somewhere just under the highest setting will be best for high-quality versus speed.

Finally, Epson recommends leaving the finished product for at least 24 hours before framing or displaying. This includes those with fast ink drying capabilities.

Mr Day said that following these simple tips will ensure users get the most out of their Epson printer throughout the rest of this month and beyond.
