Epson has received two prestigious accolades from readers of a wide-format printing magazine, prnewswire.com reports.
The global print giant has been honoured by readers - comprising print industry professionals - of 'Wide-Format Imaging', who were asked to vote for 'breakthrough products' in the Readers' Choice Top Product Awards.
They recognised Epson's SureColour S70670 64-inch model in the Output Devices: Solvent Printer (24 inches +) category and hailed Exhibition Canvas Natural Signature Worthy paper in the Media: Fine Art group.
Now in their seventh year, the annual awards are designed to identify the new products which most positively affect a print service provider's bottom line and are making waves in the industry, according to magazine editor, Denise Gustavson. Categories range from laminating equipment and inks, to scanners and wide-format media.
Having missed out on any prizes in last year's competition, Epson was naturally very pleased to win the awards. Group product manager for Epson America Inc., Mark Radogna, told web2journal.com: "We are thrilled to not only be recognised by the printing community, but also to see what companies across the country are creating with these products."
In 2012, Mutoh's ValueJet 1624 won the the award for best solvent printer and Canon's Premium Glossy Paper was crowned in the Media: Fine Art class.
