Innovation Centre Open Days:three down, three to go!

On the 4th September 2018, Perfect Colours opened the doors of its new Innovation Centre in Sheffield for the first time for a series of three open days. There will be three more similar open days on the 9th, 10th and 11th of October, so if you missed the first ones, there’s still time to register for these.

State-of-the-art demo centre

The centre was acquired by Perfect Colours earlier this year and since then has been totally refurbished and adapted for use as a fully functioning demonstration centre. It’s now capable of showcasing a wide range of the latest devices in grand format and large format technology. The new space features two floors – the ground floor is home to the grand format printers, such as the Jetrix KX7, KX6U-LED and – making its UK debut –the brand new 120-sqm/hJetrix LXir320. As well as the Jetrix line up, we’ve also gota high-speed digital packaging printer from New Solution, the Multi LG, which boasts 9 to 15 linear meters a minute. This spectacular line-up also features the Hewlett Packard FB550 flatbed printer and will soon by joined by a brand new Hewlett Packard Latex 1500 3.2 meter printer, all powered the latest workflow solutions from Print Factory and Caldera.

Upstairs, the centre showcases roll-to-roll printers in two distinct categories: printers for display graphics and printers for technical and CAD applications. For display graphics, the Sheffield facility features outdoor print solutions such as the Hewlett Packard Latex 560 and HP Latex 315 Print and Cut. Alongside the HPs, we’ve also got anEpson SureColor 80600. Indoor print solutions are represented by the new Epson SureColor P10000 andthe HP DesignJet Z6800 and Z6200. Furthermore, they’ll soon be joined by the new Designjet Z6 and Z9 printers. For a full dye sub printing solution, there is the Epson F6200 partnered with the Therm TX calendar press. The line-up for technical printers is equally as impressive, starting with the HP Designjet T830, then moving up to the Designjet T3500 and finally to the mighty 30-page-a-minute HP PageWide XL.

Open for business

The first three Open Days were the official launch of the new Innovation Centre and we would like to thank all those companies who came in to meet us and see the new print solutions in action. From time the doors opened at eight AM on the Tuesday through to close of business Thursday at eight PM, attendance was excellent. We saw a steady stream of attendees interested in experiencing the facility and technology that will help them become more time and cost efficient. Jon Telling, Sales Director at Perfect Colours, said,“To get the facility ready for the open days took a great deal of effort with quite a few late nights and early mornings, so I’d like to thank all those involved. It really is a top-rate facility and one of the best in the UK today. Attendance over the three days was exceeded our expectations and I would like to thank all our customers, both future and present for taking the time to come and see us. Overall this was a successful launch that builds an excellent platform for our upcoming open days on the 9th, 10th and 11th October. All are welcome to attend and the doors open as before at eight AM and close at eight PM. This time the event will focus on interior decoration applications.”
