The innovative ink

The third generation 831 and 881 Latex inks have introduced some innovations that take these inks to a new level. You can rely on them for outdoor durability and versatility across the widest range of sign and display applications, as well as for instantly-dry, high quality odourless prints. Maintenance issues are kept to a minimum and even the environment benefits when you use genuine Latex inks.

HP Latex Printing Technologies incorporate a multitude of attributes that show the company’s commitment to providing inks that not only benefit the environment but which can also be counted as among the healthiest on the market. Furthermore, these water-based advantages span the entire life cycle of the print from production to disposal – and with no trade off on exceptional quality.

Don’t just take our word for it

HP Latex Inks and HP Latex Optimizer carry a full range of health and environmental performance certifications, making them a healthier solution for both you and your customers.

    • Performance – HP Latex Inks don’t require any special ventilation and contain no hazardous air pollutants. They are non-flammable, non-combustible and are nickel-free. The result is odourless prints that can be used for display in sensitive areas such as hospitality and health care settings.
    • Certification – HP Latex Inks have qualified for certification by meeting some of the world’s most rigorous and comprehensive standards for low chemical emissions in indoor air. They are UL ECOLOGO® certified, proving that they meet a range of stringent human health criteria – and HP is the only large format digital printing manufacturer to have achieved this. They are also GREENGUARD GOLD certified for their low level of chemical emissions into indoor air. When printed on HP PVC-free wallpaper, the Latex system meets AgBB criteria for health-evaluation of VOC emissions from indoor building products.
    • Recycling – all Latex 831 printing supplies, including ink cartridges, printheads and maintenance supplies, and Latex 881printheads are recyclable through the HP Planet Partners programme. Latex 881 inks are supplied in 5-litre cartridges where approximately 70% of the weight of the used ink cartridge is a recyclable cardboard container.

In other words, HP Latex Inks offer a healthier solution than rival ink technologies, making the Latex printing system, making them the first choice for commercial large format print production.
