New from Epson – a large format resin ink solution

Epson has just announced a new departure – the SureColor SC-R5000 will be its first resin ink large format printer. Offering accurate, colour-consistent and fast-drying prints across a wide variety of substrates, this resin ink solution signage printer will provide you with outstanding, environmentally-friendly results, available from December.

Same quality, new technology

Over the years, Epson has built a reputation for the highest quality printers, that combine speed and accuracy at an affordable price. The SC-R5000 is no different in that respect – but it opens up a whole new sector of the market for Epson. What you have here is a resin ink printer that offers accurate, colour-consistent prints suitable for a wide range of signage and high-value applications. This is the first of Epson’s new R series, designed to meet the challenges of working with resin-based inks, drawing on Epson’s years of innovation in imaging, colour management and substrate control.

What does the SC-R5000 offer?

This new 64” printer features the Epson PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead, which means a combination of exceptional print performance and accurate colour reproduction. Four temperature sensors monitor and control temperatures to maintain colour consistency across the whole print surface, while three independent heating stations further contribute to colour uniformity and smart media handling.

The whole process is fast – efficient drying and curing enables quick lamination and same-day delivery. With these quick turnaround times, you’ll be able to offer clients both the speed and the quality they’re looking for, with the consistency of quality that’s absolutely essential. Furthermore, as the Piezo printheads are not subjected to thermal degradations, droplet placement and dot size remains consistent throughout the life of the printhead – which means continually consistent printing.
