The cost of an A0 printer

Buying a large format printer is an investment. To give you more of an understanding about A0 printers, how much you are likely to pay and what your purchase options are, we’ve written a quick guide below.

Buying a large format printer is an investment. Not only can A0 sized printers be an expensive piece of kit, but when deciding which one to buy you’ll also want to consider some of the associated costs, such as that of consumables. To give you more of an understanding about A0 printers, how much you are likely to pay and what your purchase options are, we’ve written a quick guide below.

While an AO large format printer is typically a business investment there are competitive prices to be found. Typically, you can expect to pay between £1,400 and £6,000 for a brand-new A0 printer or between £600 and £4000 for a used one.

Considering your purchase options

Here at Perfect Colours, we have always sought to provide a variety of purchase options to help you find the right financial solution for you. While there is always the option available to purchase and buy a brand-new model outright, you may feel this is not the right option for you.

If so, consider our rental options which allow you to make affordable monthly payments for your large format printer rather than one lump sum cost. Renting a large format printer is an ideal solution if this is the first large format printer you are looking to source or if you feel your needs might change in the near future. The advantage of renting is that you can change models should you need to do so. It also gives you complete peace of mind knowing that your printer is covered by HP Warranty the entire time you rent it.

Buying second-hand

Another great purchase option to consider is buying a second-hand large format printer. Such is the high-quality of this technology that even a model which is a couple of years old is still likely to work just as good as new. We have a wide range of used large format printers for sale, and before we sell them they are subject to a thorough service by our team of experts. You can be assured that when you buy from us, you’ll be buying a printer which operates with no issues.

Another important aspect to consider when buying an A0 printer is the cost of the consumables, such as ink. Many A0 printers allow for the use of cartridges of varying sizes, but the larger the ink tank the more economical you are likely to find it. However, we do recommend that you only purchase large ink cartridges if you expect your usage to be enough to warrant doing so. If you decide to go with an HP printer, you’ll be pleased to hear that Perfect Colours is an HP Platinum Partner which means we are able to offer really competitive prices on all HP ink. We offer HP ink replacements suitable for ink groups 790, 792 and 711.

A0 printers to consider

There are a huge number of A0 printers available and it’s important to buy one which suits your own needs and the materials you need to print upon. For example, if you are looking to print high-quality photography, our graphics printers will be ideal for you or if you are looking to print diagrams or maps, consider our technical, CAD and GIS plotters.

Whatever your need, Perfect Colours will be able to assist you. Contact our team of experts today who’ll be able to advise you on purchase options and the cost of consumables.
