October sees the launch of the latest version of Caldera’s award-winning RIP software – are you ready for Version 12? This time around, Caldera has switched its focus to the user experience, providing new tools to give easy access to applications, new technologies to deliver faster processing speeds and better colours, and an extended range of applications that will see users being able to venture into textiles and vehicle wraps.
Caldera Dock is a new RIP module that gives users easy access to all their local and remote apps and web tools. From this single interface, you can also save and restore your RIP configurations, clean-up your TMP files and restart your Caldera services.
Caldera RIP is the first RIP software to include Adobe PDF Print Engine 5. The result is increased compliance and performance, high-impact colour rendering and smooth edges for graphics. The foundation for the next generation of PDF print workflows, APPE accurately renders PDF designs with full fidelity to the creator’s intent and yields flawless reproductions. It consistently delivers true colours, based on modern, ICC-based colour management, while leveraging the full colour capabilities of your printer.
This new pipeline has been specially designed for huge input/output throughputs and increases global acceleration by 10 percent on Caldera hardware compared to V11.2.
New Caldera Licences allows the software to run either with or without a dongle on Linux, Mac and Windows.
Caldera HDL increases the linearization accuracy by 10 percent in difficult conditions.
This new flexible licensing system gives access to new products and features faster and more easily, avoiding the need for dongles and allowing production to get underway more quickly. You’ll be able to digitally migrate your licenses onto other sites and computer stations, with no replacement or operational costs.
