HP releases SmartStream 7.0 Update

HP SmartStream is the large-format production workflow that can help you get through jobs with twice the speed. This latest update introduces key new features and lets you automate manual tasks to boost your productivity further!

SmartStream is designed to help you meet your tightest deadlines with its Preflight Manager file analysis and processing. It reduces the number of reprints you’ll do, allowing you to rely on native PDF management with Adobe PDF Print Engine 4. It’s been built for efficiency – using SmartStream you can streamline your production workflow by managing all your HP PageWide XL, HP DesignJet production printers and other none-HP large-format printers.

What’s new with the 7.0 update?

Here’s what to expect from the newest version:

• Preview is undockable now – you can organize the view according to your own needs. So, if you want a bigger preview at the same time that you have control over the grid, you can.
• Windows file browser – now you can efficiently search and upload your files. For users that have the Document Organizer Module, we offer a choice of using the Windows browser or the HP SmartStream browser to keep track of files.
• Document organizer module news – you can save time renaming files in SmartStream. The new version lets you configure the counter used for batch renaming and indicate the number of digits that you need and by which value you want to start.
• Pixel analysis module news – we’ve added a fifth printing category to the Pixel Analysis Module. You can set the buckets as per your needs and easily give quotes to your customers before printing.
