Five players selected from the Perfect Colours Thursday football team stormed to Victory in the Construction Cup held on the 7th September 2012.The event which is a once yearly contest is held both at Wembley and at Tisley Park Oxfordshire; each venue sports its own Trophy.The winners of the Oxfordshire games were Fira who beat Kier Newbury to claim the prize. At the Wembley tournament first time participants Perfect Colours beat Architects BDP in the first round 4-0, following up with a second victory against the hosting side Nightingale Associates 2-0.The third game returned another win for the newcomers, beating Kier 3-1 to secure a place in final. The last game was a hard fought match against award winning Architects Foster and Partners, the final whistle saw a 1-1 draw leaving Perfect Colours as the inaugural winners of the Championship.On receiving the trophy Lee Heywood, team captain commented "This is a great result for the Perfect Colours team; well done to all who took part. We have high hopes for future tournaments".A total of £2900.00 was raised on the day, which was divided between three charities.
