Canon has launched its latest wide-format product - the imagePROGRAF MFP M40 Solution, which has been billed as a 'total workflow system' by the manufacturer.
According to largeformatreview.com, the piece of printing machinery will assist buyers in all their large-format printing needs. It can also scan, archive and share documents - both those in colour and in black/white.
Canon Europe's director of large format print, Yuichi Miyano, explained the demand which the new system will meet. He stated: "Previously, architects, engineering and construction industries were the primary users of large-format scanning and printing. However, as more and more diverse applications have appeared, we expect the market to grow accordingly.
"We're seeing increased usage... The Canon portfolio aims to respond to this demand. The New imagePROGRAF M40 system is an affordable option... it is easy to operate, making it an incredibly versatile investment," he added, also cited by graphicdisplayworld.com. Plus, as the new system is compatible with a range of other Canon products, it should prove to be a worthwhile investment indeed.
Miyano also said oil and gas firms, government bodies and utility companies are among the unexpected bodies experiencing increased need for an intelligent wide-format printing system. Although the new Canon isn't available just yet, it will be soon - from authorised Canon partners around the UK.
