Super-Wide Digital partners with Perfect Colours for Caldera RIP SolutionSuper-Wide Digital, a large trade-only digital printer in the North West of England was seeking to consolidate all of the legacy RIPs they had been using into one solution which would be reliable and fast, as well as providing good, consistent colour across a variety of printing technologies. With their experience of other RIPs, and after evaluating others, they chose to convert to Caldera and purchased it from Perfect Colours; who prior to purchase organised a trial of the RIP on the customer premises to prove that it performed as promised. Jason Burroughs, Managing Director of Perfect Colours, confirmed that this was an increasing pattern in Perfect Colours' business: "In this economic climate people are trying to get the most out of their existing equipment. They are trying to reduce wastage as a consequence of having to organise reprints. We are finding that Caldera's generous trial periods for the software, combined with our willingness to go the extra mile in proving the system is generating real growth for us with larger customers." Super-Wide's Managing Director, Anthony Drogan, said of the move to Caldera: "Key to our decision to choose Caldera was our move into the top-end UV printing technology with our purchase of a Durst Rho 500R printer which takes us into another league of quality combined with speed."
