London's FESPA all about new ideas, says organiser

This summer's FESPA printing event in London is all about new ideas, according to one of the team behind the occasion, which runs from June 25th-29th.

Duncan MacOwan, head of events and new media at FESPA, claimed the innovations presented at the event are all about benefiting customers and increasing the bottom line, reports largeformatreview.com.

Anyone keen to try out narrow and wide format printers can head to the Print Shop Live! section, while Print Inspiration Runway provides examples of some of the best print jobs carried out and the Pilots Briefing Zone will share techniques on up-scaling print operations among other things.

Mr MacOwan said: "We have nine confirmed show features for FESPA 2013 - a mix of new and returning - designed to take visitors on a business trip to find a new destination for print.

"The show features are created with the aim to encourage and inspire PSPs as they travel around the show discovering the many aspects of print, from multiple processes (screen, digital, etc.) to diverse applications."

In terms of returning features, the Hall of Fame is back after making its debut in 2012 - naming the top printers over the past year. According to fespa.com, nominations for this prize must be received by March 1st, with voting due to go on until June 7th.
