If you’re currently printing roll materials and mounting them to board, the time will come when you feel the need to step up to true flatbed production. Not having to mount your work will significantly cut your time in finishing and that opens a door to new revenue streams. So, what’s stopping you?
If you’re currently printing roll materials and mounting them to board, the time will come when you feel the need to step up to true flatbed production. Not having to mount your work will significantly cut your time in finishing and that opens a door to new revenue streams. So, what’s stopping you?
Maybe you’re holding out because it’ll be a step up in costs at the same time – but it needn’t be. We’d like to draw your attention to the new InkTec Jetrix LX5: the affordable flatbed option.
Quite a lot, in fact. The Jetrix LX5 offers substantial energy savings plus the versatility of true flatbed printing with an optional roll-to-roll option—with, of course, the superb active service support that Perfect Colours is known for. You’ll be able to tick the following features off your wish list:
We’ve long been fans of the existing Jetrix range but with the LX5, InkTec have created a printer that shares the range’s technology, stability, precision and design while meeting an increasing demand in the market for environmentally friendly and energy efficient printers. That’s something we’re happy to get behind.
By using LEDs rather than mercury arc lamps for its UV curing, the LX5 operates at much lower temperatures – and this means lower power consumption. In combination with its six-picolitre Konica Minolta printheads, that means it’s a lean workhorse with an eye for detail. As our Sales Director Jon Telling points out, “Even running at 30 to 40 square metres per hour, it still produces sellable print on busy images. Block colours may take a little longer but that’s still very fast for an entry-level machine.”
Furthermore, when it comes to multilayer printing the Jetrix LX5 leaves its nearest rivals in the dust. “The LX5 offers multilayer printing of up to eight layers at a time,” explains Jon. “This makes it perfect for night-and-day type work.” Most other printers in the same field only offer two to three layers when it comes to multilayer.
