Some days you need speed, some days you need versatility. But what happens if you need both? This isn’t a problem for printers who’ve invested in an Inca Digital SpyderX. It’s a wide format printer with multiple powers, offering high speed and high quality across a huge range of rigid and flexible substrates.

Developed using the same technology as the Spyder 320 range, this dual flatbed/roll-to-roll printer prints with pinpoint accuracy in 6-colour + white, while delivering speeds of up to 230 sqm/hr. It represents a cost-effective solution for print shops that want to up their game in terms of both quality and quantity, and it will reliably act as the centrepiece of a busy print room, supporting both rapid turnaround and high volumes.

The SpyderX achieves great results using Inca UV-curable ink. This promises a wide colour gamut and the highest standards of adhesion and flexibility. Inca ink can be used with confidence on tricky substrates such as Dibond, acrylic and plastics, making it the ideal choice for printing POP displays, durable graphics and banners.

Inca has also created a machine to make life easy for the operator. The SpyderX boasts an automated cleaning station and on board maintenance scheduler to help maintain the printheads. A mist extraction system has been introduced to reduce nozzle clogging, while nozzle mapping technology means the SpyderX can cope with deviated or missing nozzles without affecting either the speed or quality of its output.

Versatility is a keyword for printers in today’s market, and the SpyderX has this covered. The 3.2 roll-to-roll module converts this flatbed into a versatile production-class printer. Users have the flexibility to produce high-quality UV print on both sheet-fed and roll-fed media. Additionally, giving users the ability to alter the level of UV allows the SpyderX to print on the trickiest of substrates.

High speeds and flexibility are not the only contributions the SpyderX makes to output efficiency: the six-zone vacuum table reduces bed masking requirements for substrates thinner than 3mm, reducing setup times and boosting productivity. Add to that the Inca Vision customer support service which monitors regular preventative and corrective maintenance and you have a production force to be reckoned with.

Jon Telling, Perfect Colours’ Sales Director, says, “At Perfect Colours we strive to select best-in-category products for our portfolio, so Inca’s SpyderX is a perfect fit.” The demand for mid-range, dedicated flat-beds is soaring in the signs and graphics market, and Inca has built a reputation for consistency and quality that fits well with Perfect Colours’ own brand ambitions. “Having the opportunity to bring the SpyderX to a new audience is a great way for us to support British manufacturing,” adds Jon. “It’s a great printer, with excellent support and good upgrade possibilities for those looking to streamline volume production on rigid substrates.”
