Print debates to focus on efficiency

Printing efficiently will be one of the main concerns for businesses and printer manufacturers over the coming year, reports.

A number of speakers from across the print industry have already been lined up to speak on the options and opportunities that more efficient printing should offer businesses. Not only, they are expected to claim, will efficient large format printers offer a business more cost-effective solutions, but also boost its environmental credentials by lowering wastage.

One such event that will look into efficient printing is a morning seminar arranged jointly by Printfuture and Print Efficiently. It will take place over the first two weeks of October (1st to 3rd and 8th to 10th) at Apex House in Hemel Hempstead.

The seminars will welcome speakers including former PIRA international strategy consultant Neil Falconer, workflow specialist Chris Jordan, print business planning expert Richard Gray and ISO 12647 expert Paul Sherfield.

Falconer's seminar is set to look into the future of printing, with the title 'What will the commercial printer look like in 2020'. Sherfield, meanwhile, is set to speak on the subject of 'Colour Standards: What are they, what are options, why bother, how to meet them?'

Not only will the event see seminars being delivered, but debates are also being lined up that will feature those who took on existing technology in a bid to make it more efficient and won.

A spokesperson for the event told "Print Efficiently and Printfurniture have together selected half a dozen topics and the best specialist speakers to bring a morning seminar series that will offer insight, options and opportunities to make print business a better competitor."
