The second-largest print industry trade fair in the world, China Print, opens its doors today (May 14th) to print professionals from across the globe.
Whattheythink.com reports that the fair, which takes place in Beijing, will feature innovations from many print manufacturers - potentially displaying new ideas in everything from wide-format printing to outdoor signage machinery.
Regular events will take place throughout the fair, hosted by a variety of organisations. These include the Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China and the Hong Kong Printers Association. Talks will cover areas such as the global standardisation of printing and how new technology will impact the print industry.
The opening of the show comes only days after HP announced the winners of this year's HP Print Excellence Awards. The 55 lucky entrants were revealed at a special event on Saturday, May 11th, beating off stiff competition from a total of 300 entries.
HP Asia Pacific and Japan's vice president, Gido van Praag, commented on printweek.in: "Printing companies are constantly challenged by customers to deliver creative work within a short timeline.
"The HP Print Excellence Awards, Asia Pacific and Japan, provides a platform to share best practices that have helped our customers make a successful impact," he added.
