Hewlett-Packard has recognised the best examples of creativity and print quality from designers using its Inkjet, Scitex and HP Designjet printers.
More than 20 companies reigned supreme in HP's Print Excellence Awards 2012, reports packagingeurope.com; each demonstrating that little special something when it came to printing across a wide selection of categories.
Such award categories included: Packaging Labels, Publishing, Photo Books, High Volume Inkjet Printing, Outdoor Advertising and Vehicle Graphics, writes hp.com/go/pea2012winners.
There were in excess of 350 entrants to the international awards, represented by companies from 47 countries.
The crack judging team was just as culturally as diverse as the entrants themselves, comprising of judges from France, Australia, Israel, the USA and UK. Each was selected because of their influential positions in the world of print and design, with such job titles as editorial director, publisher, art director and advertising consultants littering the panel.
Francois Martin, worldwide marketing director of Graphic Solutions Business at HP, said that the response to the competition far exceeded the company's expectations.
"The quality of the submissions reflected how creative agencies and enterprises benefit from a wide range of applications that PSPs are producing on HP digital presses and printers.
"Receiving submissions from nearly 50 countries demonstrates the spread of digital printing around the world as well as confidence in our technologies and innovations," he said.
