Large format printing company Ocean Outdoor has begun displaying some of its excessively large works in one of the UK's biggest cities.
Manchester is now home to two new digital signage sites and two large-format posters, reports mediaweek.com.
At its Portland Street site lies a double-sided digital 3.1m x 5.8m tower, while at Printworks - located in Manchester's retail district - lies a gigantic 15m x 7m full-motion digital screen.
Car maker Skoda meanwhile is enjoying having one of its models prominently displayed on an even bigger work of art. In what outputmagazine.com says is 'central Manchester's largest banner', the sponsor's five-door Citigo can been seen on a 31m x 11.5m behemoth on Deansgate.
A second banner print on Portland Street completes the fourth display, which adds up to a total advertising display space of 258 square metres.
According to Ocean Outdoor's chief executive officer, Tim Bleakley, the Manchester sites are just one part in a multi-phase growth plan that will see the company expand into more of the UK's top cities.
"These sites mark the second stage of our development plans to push our premium footprint into cities outside of London," said Mr Bleackley. "Ocean now has the seven most spectacular assets in the heart of Manchester city centre and it's a blueprint we plan to replicate elsewhere."
