FESPA has announced its intention to run a European Sign Expo in 2013, graphicrepro.co.za reports.
With events that typically concentrate on aspects of screen, textile, digital and wide format printing, FESPA is expanding its offering to sign manufacture in partnership with the European Sign Federation.
Situated next to the existing FESPA exhibition halls, the new event will occupy 5000 square metres and entry will be automatically granted to those with tickets for FESPA 2013, which takes place in London.
Building on the success of the European Sign Summit - a part of FESPA 2010 - the new Expo will enable industry professionals to obtain information, discuss ideas and find equipment solutions to improve their business.
FESPA will be giving over strategic input to the European Sign Federation, while it organises marketing, sales and operations. The two organisations hope to target visitors from across the industry, including retail brands and sign producers.
Commenting on the expansion, FESPA director of Exhibitions and Events, Neil Felton told wideformatonline.com: "It is a natural progression for FESPA to develop a sign exhibition to serve the European market; sign makers are already part of FESPA's global community.
"As the convergence between the sign and print sectors continues, we want to guide graphic producers and their customers on how they can maximise the impact and effectiveness of signage."
