FESPA 2013 set to be biggest yet, according to organisers

Organisers of this year's Federation of European Screen Printers Association (FESPA) event are backing their London show to be the biggest they've ever staged.

HP, Canon, Durst, Mimaki and Kornit are among some of the top exhibitors announced for FESPA 2013, which once again will aim to showcase the wonders of screen, digital and textile print.   

The show opens on 25th June, yet FESPA representatives say the interest lodged so far has more than matched that seen throughout the whole of 2010. 

The floor plan area of 30,000 metres squared equals the amount committed in 2010 for the Munich exhibition, while spaces for the event - set to take place at the ExCel exhibition centre in London - are close to selling out.

Slots for the South Hall of the Excel exhibition centre, carrying a 100 per cent digital theme, have all been snapped up, while demand for the remaining areas in the North Hall is thought to be high.

According to fespa.com, the layout will place a strong emphasis on digital printing, with exhibitors including M&R and Saati contributing to the screen print line-up.  

When talking to whattheythink,com, FESPA managing director Neil Felton expressed his delight at being able to carry the momentum from last year's show at Barcelona into the planning for 2013.

He stated that last year bookings for 108 per cent of the space had been taken by February 2012, meaning they more than sold out, although this year could sell out even quicker.   

Mr Felton added that from across the globe, providers of wide format printers had told his team that FESPA in London was their number one destination for print in 2013.

"Our eye catching 'Your Destination for Print' campaign is resonating with exhibitors and they can see very clearly our commitment to delivering an international audience with an eye to investment for growth," he added.
